Okay, Dendro!

The problem: Arborists climb trees, and they don’t want to lug dictionaries along. The more things arborists have in their pockets, the more dangerous their jobs. My solution: Leverage the power of Google Assistant and artificial intellegence to create an interactive dictionary that arborists can access using voice control.  With Actions on Google, the International Society of Arboriculture can now … Read More

Twitter Bots

Having learned a bit about computational, generative poetry from Dene Grigar and Davin Heckman, I went ahead and created some Twitter Bots. The process was easy enough. There are plenty of engines and scripts that will automagically post content to Twitter, Facebook, or any number of social media websites. Some will pull live data from realtime API, respond to users, … Read More

Treehug App

Another prototype for the International Society of Arboriculture. They were looking for a quick app mockup (made in just a few days). I accomplished this by using some Adobe XD templates. Note: The below video is embedded in portrait orientation. Scroll down to see the play button.

The RWDL offers face-to-face tutoring for a population of nearly 6,000 students, as well as workshops in document and instructional design.  As a senior consultant, I helped create student videos, craft effective presentations, podcasts, and web publications. We also … Read More

I worked as a project manager and game producer for R-C Game Studio — a videogame collab operating out of the Digital Studies Center at Rutgers University. In my role as project manager, I coordinated various aspects of game production: selecting and approving the storyboards; coordinating the writing, directing, editing; offering technical advice on prototype builds. I helped to keep … Read More

Niccola – App Mockup

I’m creating a conversational  mobile application that draws on my academic research in dark rhetorics and media ethics. The Prince is a built in Dialogflow and Google Actions.

Memory Palace

Jan Holmevik challenged me to speed-create a short video after reading Gregory Ulmer’s Internet Invention. I wanted to push myself to do something more difficult — more interactive. I suggested coding a video game instead. (It was a crazy idea considering that I had only three games under my belt.) I speed-created Memory Palace over one sleepless, coffee-fueled weekend. It’s … Read More

Bonk | Videogame

Bonk! A Game of Loneliness is a philosophical pong clone for a single player. I created this game in GMS using the GM scripting language, then tweaked some of the exported C++ . The sprites were made in GIMP. The game is compiled as a Windows executable. Android version coming soon. Download the Windows Installer Download the GMX Source Code
